In January-November 2007, Commercial Port of Vladivostok OJSC handled 4.283.9 million tonnes of cargo (+22%, year-on-year), the port’s press center reports. In the reported period, the transshipment of export cargo amounted to 1.688.4 million tonnes (- 9.7%, year-on-year) including 883,000 tonnes of metal, 335,000 tonnes of timber, 242,000 tonnes of containerized cargo (72 407 TEU).
Transshipment of import cargo totaled 1.578.4 million tonnes (+32%, year-on-year) including 608,000 tonnes of containerized cargo (66,372 TEU), 145,000 tonnes of raw sugar, 241,403 units of cars and equipment. Transshipment of coastal trade cargo totaled 1.017.1 million tonnes (+17%, year-on-year) including 624,000 tonnes of containerized cargo (60,523 TEU), 297,000 tonnes of oil cargo. In the 11-month period the port handled 2,958 vessels and 55,966 wagons with average daily transshipment of 13,000 tonnes of cargo.
