Commercial seaport of Iljichevsk plans to attract an investor-operator for acquisition of new and modernization of existing vessels, Interfax reports according to RZD-Partner with reference to the port’s official materials. In January-February 2008, the port plans to purchase one ice-class tug-boat with a capacity of at least 5,000 effective horse powers and two tug boats with a capacity of at least 2,500 effective horse powers each.
In the first half of 2008 the port plans to purchase electric navigation equipment for vessels as well as the equipment for the on-shore radio-centers providing communication with vessels, development of a network of electronic communications and security service.
The applications are to be accepted till December 27.
