The fishing vessel Vincent is on fire about 16 kilometers off the Sakhalin coast, Itar-Tass reports. Four of 17 crewmembers died in the fire. Thirteen seamen were evacuated to another ship heading to the port Korsakov, the Far East regional emergencies center told Itar-Tass on Tuesday.
The vessel in distress is flying the flag of Cambodia, but its crew consists of Russian seamen. The rescue vessel Atlas was dispatched to the incident area off the Aniva Horn.
