Gazprom Neft starts supply of oil products for marine transport

Bunkering company Gazpromneft  Marine Bunker LLC (subsidiary of Gazprom Neft OJSC) started to deliver oil products to the ports of St. Petersburg and the Far East in early December, press center of Gazprom Neft reports.

As of today, it supplied some 10,000 tonnes of fuel including 5,000 tonnes delivered under direct contract to the customer in the port of St. Petersburg and some 5,000 tonnes – to large bunkering companies in the ports of Primorje (Far East).

According to the company, from January 2008, Gazpromneft  Marine Bunker plans to start direct deliveries to the end users in the Far Eastern ports. Today Gazpromneft  Marine Bunker carries out shipment of the products via the rented facilities: terminals and bunkering tankers. The majority of marine fuel comes from Omsk Refinery (owned by Gazprom Neft ) as well as from Moscow and Yaroslavl refineries.

Gazpromneft  Marine Bunker LLC was incorporated by Gazprom Neft   in October 2007 for arrangement of all-the-year-round supply of heavy fuel oil, bunker and lubes for marine transport. By 2009, the company plans to sell 1.5 million tonnes per year.

Major regions of the company’s activities are St. Petersburg, Novorossiysk, Murmansk and the Far East. The program of bunkering business development will enable Gazprom Neft  to increase the share of retail sales via its own network and to get additional profit from retail sales.
