Throughput of Kotka port up 10% in Jan-Nov 07, y-o-y

In January-November 2007, throughput of the port of Kotka grew by 10%, year-on-year, to 9.637.822 million tonnes, the port announces. Export of foreign trade cargo fell by 6.5% to 4.384.6 million tonnes, import - grew by 30.3% to 2.647.9 million tonnes. In the reported period the port handled 581,533 tonnes of export transit cargo (+6.3%, year-on-year), while transshipment of import transit cargo grew by 44.3% to 1.823.6 million tonnes. In January-November 2007, the port’s container turnover amounted to 524,964 TEU (+24,%, year-on-year).
