LUKOIL to expand fuel oil transshipment facilities at RPK-Vysotsk LUKOIL-II

LUKOIL plans to expand its fuel oil transshipment facilities at RPK-Vysotsk LUKOIL-II (Leningrad region), RZD-Partner reports with reference to the Agency of oil information quoting the company’s representative.

According to the source, the forth phase of the terminal envisions construction of a railway discharge rack for 72 tank wagons with related facilities as well as an oil products bunkering tank farm.

In January-November 2007, LUKOIL increased export of oil products via the terminal in Vysotsk by 29.8%, year-on-year, to 10.835 million tonnes including 3.296.506 million tonnes of heavy fuel oil.

As of today, the terminal’s design capacity is 11.6 million tonnes per year, total capacity of its tank farms is 460,000 cubic meters. Construction of the three phases amounted to some $500 million. In early 2007, LUKOIL management announced the plans to build the forth phase of the terminal and to increase its capacity to 15 million tonnes per year through investment of some $150 million.
