Merger of Transneft and Transnefteprodukt to be finalized in January

The merger of OAO Transneft, the world's largest pipeline company and OAO Transnefteprodukt, the Russian monopoly in transportation of crude products via pipelines, is to be finalized in January, Transneft VP Mikhail Barkov told RIA Novosti on Friday. "I think we can say that the merger will be completed by the end of January", he said.
