A fish exchange will start test operation in Russia in July 2009, Chairman of National Fisheries Committee, Andrei Krainii, told in Khabrovsk Wednesday, PRIME-TASS reports.
“I don’t think a stock exchange is to make any trouble,” the Chairman said. He also told such structures are never focused on maximal profit. “They only take 0.1% of any transaction value.” Non-commercial partnership welcomes all the companies of the branch.
Fisherman may supply their products to the domestic market either via the exchange or directly, Andrei Krainii says. However 100% of export sea goods are to be sold via the exchange. Specialists are currently working in Iceland and then they will study experience of Norwegian fish exchange.
The Chairman also told about the plans to build a large covered wholesale market in the Moscow region, where any fishery or processing company may sell its goods. The decision on location has been already taken. It is to be built close to a railway station, airdrome and a ring road.
