Unified container terminal with a capacity of 600,000 TEU to be built in the port of Vladivostok
Supervisory Board of Commercial Port of Vladivostok (VMTP) decided to create a unified container terminal with a capacity of 600,000 TEU at the berths No 12-16 of Commercial Port of Vladivostok, press center of FESCO Group reports.
According to Siman Povarenkin, Chairman of VMTP Supervisory Board, "all container assets located at the territory of Commercial Port of Vladivostok will be developed as a unified production complex managed by one operator." He also underlined that creation of a unified terminal became possible after FESCO acquired a 50-perent share of Vladivostok Container Terminal LLC from N-Trans Group in early July.
According to Vyacheslav Pertsev, VMTP Director General, by 2011 the terminal’s capacity is to reach 600,000 TEU.
