Ukrainian Railways posts 2.288 m tons this Jan.-Feb, 9.6% over planned figures

Ukrzaliznytsya, the Ukrainian Railways in January-February 2010, transported 2.288 million tons of grain, which is 9.6% above the projected numbers for this period. The average daily loading output was 632 rail cars, the company's statement said.

The South, South-West and Odessa railroads shipped the major volumes of grain.

The Ukrzaliznytsya operates its rolling stock fleet of 11.579 units. The main types of grain cargoes are wheat, barley, grain maize, rapeseed and sunflower.
