Strong earthquakes occurred in Polynesia, near Indonesia and the Molucca Sea. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, there was a 5.2-magnitude quake in Tonga (Polynesia), 5.6-magnitude quake near the East Timor and Indonesia. In the Molucca Sea and in the South Atlantic near the island of Ascension the scholars also recorded 5-pts quakes.
