FESCO transfers to weekly service between Japan and Far East ports from November 1
From November 1, 2008, FESCO transfers to a weekly sea container service between the ports of Japan and the Far East, the company’s press center reports. The decision was adopted in the course of an agency meeting held on September 1 with FESCO partners – Mitsui OSK Lines, agencies in Japan – TransRussia, in Vladivostok – TRANSFES, in Vostochny – Orista, as well as heads and representatives of linear-logistics division of FESCO Transport Group.
The service rotation will include the port of Vladivostok as a regular port of call on a weekly basis as well as Japanese ports of Kobe, Nagoya, Yokohama. Once in two weeks FESCO vessels will call on будут the port of Niigata, Toyamashinko, Modzi and, perhaps, Akita.
Besides, in view of a meeting with Toyota management in Japan the participants discussed different scenarios for Toyota product transportation (automobile components for assembling plant in St. Petersburg).
