    Kazakhstan oil production to hit 70 mln t in 2008

    Forecasted level of Kazakhstan oil production to hit 69-70 mln tons: S. Mynbayev

    “Predicted level of the oil production volume in Kazakhstan will hit 69-70 mln tons in 2008 and the volume of reprocessing will increase by 500 thousand tons and make 12.5 mln tons,” Minister  of Energy and Mineral Resources of Kazakhstan Sauat Mynbayev said at the Ministry’s collegium.
    “We intend to modernize and enlarge three Kazakh oil processing plants in the future,” he added.
    According to him, a new plant will be constructed next year.
