Russia vying for Oman's stake in CPC

Energy Minister Sergei Shmatko believes that the setbacks in Russia's plans to buy out Oman's 7-percent stake in the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) will be overcome within a month, RBC reports. Shmatko stressed that a large team of lawyers was now working to this effect. He added that Russia had reacted very promptly and professionally when it accepted Oman's irrevocable offer to acquire the stake. The Minister also pointed out that Russia expected to buy Oman's entire stake in the CPC.
