The contracts cover the supply of RoRo equipment and hoistable car decks for:
• four 8,000-unit PCTCs to be built at Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) in Korea for Wallenius
• four 7,900-unit PCTCs to be built at Hyundai Heavy Industry (HHI) in Korea for Wilhelmsen
• four 3,500-unit PCTCs to built at Nantong Mingde Heavy Industry in China for PD Gram
• four 2,000-unit PCTCs to be built at Yamanishi Corporation in Japan for an Asian owner.
At DSME and Nantong Mingde the contracts are extension of an existing series which in total comprise 13 vessels at DSME and eight at Nantong Mingde. These repeat contracts will see MacGREGOR supply the design and key component for the RoRo access equipment and the yard to fabricate the steel structures.
The contract at Yamanishi is for the complete fabrication of RoRo equipment. At HHI, the contract calls for MacGREGOR to supply the design and key components for the RoRo equipment and the complete fabrication of the car decks that total 2,300 tonnes for each shipset.
