Two Russian ships make unofficial visit to Kazakh Caspian seaport
Two Russian ships, missile-carrying ship Tatarstan and the Anatoly Guzhvin hydrographic
vessel, arrived in the Kazakh port of Aktau in the Mangistau region on Thursday, the Kazakh Defense Ministry said according to Interfax-AVN.
Caspian Flotilla Commander Vice-Admiral Viktor Kravchuk is leading the Russian naval delegation, the ministry said.
"This is an unofficial visit. It aims to step up military cooperation between the Russian and Kazakh navies," the ministry said.
The visit will last until September 30, the ministry said.
