Dmitry Medvedev approves Russian Govt’s Presidium
Two-thirds of the members of the Government of the Russian Federation headed by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has been included in the Presidium formed on Thursday, a spokesperson for Prime Minister said.
According to Dmitry Medvedev’s spokeswoman Natalya Timakova the seven deputy prime ministers and 11 ministers, members of the presidium, are as follows:
Michael Abyzov, Minister for Cooperation with "Open Government;"
Andrei Belousov, Economic Development Minister;
Oleg Govorun Regional Development Minister;
Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Interior Minister;
Sergey Lavrov, Russian Foreign Minister,
Alexander Novak, Minister of Energy,
Anatoly Serdyukov, Defense Minister;
Anton Siluanov Minister of Finance;
Veronika Skvortsova, Minister of Health,
Maxim Topilin, Minister of Labour and Social Security,
Nikolai Fyodorov, Agriculture Minister.
Deputy prime ministers - Igor Shuvalov and Olga Golodets, Arkady Dvorkovich, Dmitry Kozak, Dmitry Rogozin, Vladislav Surkov and Alexander Khloponin.
Thus, the Presidium of the Government consists of 19 members headed by the Prime Minister. The government consists of 29 members including one first deputy prime minister, six deputy ministers and federal ministers. In the previous government, the Presidium was comprised of 17 members of the Cabinet of 27.
