Construction of new Far East seaport to start in 2010 – Igor Levitin
Construction of new seaport in the area of Primorsk Refinery to be built in the Far East by Rosneft will start in 2010, Igor levitin told journalists according to RIA Novosti.
“We should ensure transportation within the framework of this project,” he said.
Rosneft head Sergei Bogdanchikov in his turn added that the company plans construction of terminals capable of transshipment up to 30 million tonnes of oil products per year including 20 million tonnes within the framework of Primorsk Refinery and 10 million tonnes at the Black Sea near Tuapse Refinery.
The project on construction of Primorsk Refinery is to be implemented in two phases. According to preliminary estimation the project is valued at $5-7 bln.
As of today, there are no refineries in Primorje. The fuel is delivered from other regions which influences retail prices.
