Vostochnaya Stevedore Company handles first batch of Mitsubishi automobiles made in Japan

Container terminal of Vostochnaya Stevedore Company LLC has handled the first batch of Mitsubishi automobiles made in Japan, the stevedoring company reports.

According to VSC, the terminal handled the first Ro-Ro vessel with 300 Mitsubishi cars under agreement between VSC and Rolf SCS (logistics business of Rolf Group).

There is a specialized secured ground to store automobiles at the terminal. Automobiles can be taken from the port by both railway and motor transport. There is a specialized rack for transshipment of cargo to rail car transporters.

Vostochnaya Stevedore Company LLC is the largest container terminal in the Far East of Russia. It operates at Vostochny port. 25% of the company are owned by port operator DPW, 75% - Global Ports Group (part ofN-Trans Group). The company’s throughput totaled 400,724 TEU in 2008.
