    Novoship transported 60 mln t of cargo in 2008

    In 2008, Novoship carried 60 million tonnes of cargo (excluding the fleet of Novoship UK), the company’s materials refer to Gennadi Vyvorotnyuk, Director of the Department for commercial operation of fleet. In the reported period the company used to carry mainly crude oil, dark oil products and light oil products. The share of export from Russia amounted to 25% of the total volume.

    Fleet operated by the Novoship Group consists of 51 vessels with the total dwt of 3,84 mln tonnes and the average age of 6.3 years. Market value of the company’s operating fleet is some $3.19 bln. The company’s backlog of orders numbers 14 vessels with total deadweight of 1.4. The vessels are to be delivered before the end of 2010.
