Forming of the authorized capital of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (OSK) has been completed, RF Vice PM Igor Sechin told the Government meeting today according to RBC. Igor Sechin reminded that according to the presidential decree the process was to be completed by April 1, 2009.
Igor Sechin confirmed the transfer of shareholdings of 9 design bureaus and 3 regional centers of shipbuilding (33 enterprises) to OSK.
“Forming of the authorized capital of the regional centers of shipbuilding and ship repair as well as of OSK itself has been completed as of April 1,” Vice PM said. Apart from this, OSK will include 4 enterprises to be transferred from the Ministry of Defense after their financial restructuring.
RF Prime Minister Vladimir Putin in his turn noted that completion of all organizational and administrative procedures was an «important step» for both the concentration of administrative and financial resources and for the development of shipbuilding in general. He expressed his hope for prompt implementation of plans ensuring operation of OSK enterprises.
