Aleksandr Koval – new head of Federal Insurance Supervision Service
By the order of RF Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, Aleksandr Koval was appointed a new head of the Federal Service for Insurance Supervision, press center of the RF Government states. No other details are revealed.
The Federal Service for Insurance Supervision is Russia’s federal executive authority in charge of monitoring and supervision in the sphere of insurance activities (insurance business).
Aleksandr Koval was born on June 27, 1957. He graduated from the evening department of the State Institute of Management called after S. Ordzhonikidze in 1984 as engineer-economist for management arrangement.
State Duma Deputy in 1999–2003 and in 2003–2007, Aleksandr Koval was a member of the Duma Committee on credit institutions and financial markets. In 2007 was elected State Duma Deputy as one of the candidates proposed by Edinaya Rossiya. Member of Edinaya Rossiya. Member of State Duma Committee on financial market.
In February 2002, was elected President of the All-Russian Union of Insurers. Aleksandr Koval was a Chairman of the social council of the Russian Union of Motor Insurers (August 2002 – April 2003); Chairmen of the social council for insurance activities under CIS Executive Committee; used to be elected a member of the Edinstvo executive Committee.
