The third session of the committee on navigation aid facility fund for the Straits of Malacca/Singapore was held in Malaysia on April 13-14. India took part in the committee for the first time as a user country, expressing its support for the measures being pushed by the body.?India vowed to cooperate in Project 1, which calls for the removal of wrecks/submerged vessels, as well as committed $770,000 in support of Project 4, or the tide, tidal current and wind observation system.
