The concept for customs clearance in places near the state border has been approved by all ministries and agencies, PortNews reporter cites Vladimir Ivin, head of the analytical management of the RF Federal Customs Service, as saying at the visiting session of the RF State Duma council of experts on customs regulation.
According to Vladimir Ivin, the only issue left to be solved is the scope of financing of the concept implementation.
In the first half of 2009 FCS of RF plans to determine which customs points are to be liquidated and which are to be arranged. Alteration of the staff structure is also to be clarified.
Vladimir Ivin says customs clearance points working with import and transit cargo are to be liquidated first of all.
Moreover, draft federal special-purpose program of the above concept is to be considered by the related state authorities in the third quarter of 2009. The concept implementation is to start in late 2009-2010.
