Exports in common trade dipped 12.8% from a year earlier to US$12.67 billion, while exports in processing trade decreased 23.1% year on year to US$10.81. The decline rate both shrink in March.
Shanghai's exports to its top ten trading partners also recovered. Exports to the E.U., the U.S. and Japan fell 16.5%, 20.4% and 26.2% less in March than they fell in February.
Imports suffered a year-on-year decline of 24.9% to US$13.97 billion.
