In 2008, joint stock shipping company Ukrrichflot had a net loss of UAH 21.261 mln against the profit of UAH 21.06 mln in 2007, the company states.
According to the company’s report issued on Thursday, net proceeds of Ukrrichflot increased by 25.3% to UAH 819.3 mln while operating loss totaled UAH 6.35 mln against operating loss of UAH 29.154 mln in 2007.
Ukrrichflot is the largest sea and river shipping company of Ukraine. The company’s fleet numbers about 200 vessels. The company comprises Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozje, Nikolaev, Kherson and Chernigov ports as well as shipbuilding and ship repair enterprises. In 2007, Ukrrichflot had a net profit of UAH 21.059 mln. The company is controlled by the owners of Misto-Bank (Odessa) and Energy Standard, holding over 70% of shares. In 2008, Ukrrichflot vessels carried 8.4 million tonnes of cargo.
