Russian Association of Marine and River Bunker Suppliers (RosMorRechBunker) and RF Transport Ministry have signed an agreement on cooperation, PortNews IAA learnt from the Association. According to the source, “the agreement has formally confirmed the existing interaction and cooperation of the parties in the sphere related to the Ministry’s functions on development of the state policy and normative legal regulation in the sphere of maritime and river transport”. The Ministry’s subdivision to observe implementation of the provisions within the framework of the newly signed agreement is the Ministry’s Department for the state policy in the sphere of maritime and river transport.
RosMorRechBunker explained that its joint work with the Ministry of Transport will cover a number of directions including improvement of a legal base in the sphere of maritime and river transport and creation of a favorable legal environment for operation of Russian fleet (including bunkering flee) at inland waterways and at international routes within Russia’s sea and river ports.
The Association of Marine and River Bunker Suppliers was established in 2005 in St. Petersburg. It comprised 26 member-companies, specializing in marine and river vessels fuel supply and represents all regions of Russian Federation. The Association obtained its current name (Russian Association of Marine and River Bunker Suppliers) by the order of the RF Government N 1109-р dated August 13,2006.
