MSC to launch two services in Americas

Mediterranean Shipping Company plans to introduce two new services linking North, Central and South America, effective this month.
The Puma Service, covering ports in the U.S., Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica and Panama, will call Balbao, Long Beach, Oakland, Manzanillo and Puerto Caldera, offering a weekly frequency.
In addition, the Puma would also make fortnightly calls at Salina Cruz, Mazatlan, Puerto Quetzal and Acajutla. The first sailing will be the MSC Peru, departing from Balboa on April 29.
The Condor Service, covering Peru, Ecuador, Colombia and Panama, will offer a weekly rotation of Balboa, Callao, Paita, Guayaquil and Buenaventura. The first voyage will be the MSC Paola, departing from Balboa on April 18.
“These additional services complement MSC’s already-established comprehensive service network in the Pacific, providing customers with exceptional market coverage and short transit times, through dedicated services,” the Geneva-based carrier said in a statement.
