Mitsui O.S.K.'s profit may decline 50% this year - Nikkei

Mitsui O.S.K. Lines Ltd., Japan’s largest shipping line by sales, may post a 50 percent drop in net income this fiscal year on lower fees for transporting iron ore and fewer shipments of containers and cars, the Nikkei newspaper said. Net income may decline to about 60 billion yen ($604 million) in the year ending March 2010, the Nikkei reported today, without saying where it got the information. Sales may drop as much as 20 percent to 1.5 trillion yen, the report said.
The company’s annual dividend payout may fall to about 10 yen per share from the 31 yen planned for last fiscal year, according to the Nikkei.
