St. Petersburg Legislative Assembly approves bill on water transport
The Deputies of St. Petersburg Legislative Assembly have approved the Bill on Water Transport, the Assembly’s press center reports.
The document was furnished to the municipal parliament by the city government. According to Nikolai Asaul, Head of St. Petersburg Committee for Transit Transport Policy, the bill regulates traffic at the city’s rivers and canals and determines routes and the list of Petersburg waterways.
Nikolai Asaul says a centralized control center is to be established this year, traffic lights and regulating signs are to be placed at bridges by the middle of summer.
