Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg presents its achievements at international exhibition TransRussia 2009
The group of companies Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg presented the first results of the implementation of full-scale development programme of port infrastructure at the XIV International Exhibition TransRussia 2009, which is held in Moscow from 21 to 24 of April, 2009, the company's press center reports.
Combined exhibition mount of JSC Sea port of Saint-Petersburg, Independent Transport Agency, Tuapse and Taganrog Sea Ports, Volga Shipping Company, North-Western Company and VolgoBaltic Logistics was highly assessed by the organization committee of the exhibition for being professional and up-to-date.

TransRussia 2009 - the first-rate exhibition in the sphere of cargo transportation, transport and logistics in Russia, CIS and Baltic countries. This year 500 companies from 33 countries of the world participate in this exhibition.
The development programme of port infrastructure envisages the handling operations with more profitable cargoes and increase of the handling capacities of the company up to 20 mln. tons per year by means of construction of specialized container handling facility and refrigerated terminal and by already implemented projects.
In May of 2008 the first stage of car terminal was put into operation on the territory of Third Stevedoring Company (annual capacity - 80 thousand cars).
In January of 2009 Universal Handling Facility in Ust-Luga with the annual capacity of 3 mln. started its operations.
In April of 2009 ro-ro terminal on the territory of the First Stevedoring Company with the annual capacity of 1 mln. tons handled first 90 roll-trailers with the general cargoes.
