DFDS Lisco got new ferry

The new ferry “Lisco Maxima” of DFDS Lisco (headquarters in Klaipeda), owned by Danish shipping company DFDS A/S, will be the largest vessel flying the Lithuanian flag, RZD-Partner reports.

A source in the company told IA RZD-Partner.Ru that the ferry has left Italy for Klaipeda.

“Lisco Maxima” will be the 8th vessel of DFDS Lisco. It will replace “Lisco Optima” ferry servicing the Klaipeda-Kiel line.
The ferry is 199 metres long. It was built by an Italian company Nuovi Cantieri Apuania. The tonnage of the vessel is 24.95 thousand tons. It can carry 2,500 linear metres of cargo and 510 passengers at a time.
