Intercontinental Marine LLC has presented the Crimea-Caucasus cruise-ferry line at the Seatrade Europe exhibition in Hamburg (Germany). As IAA PortNews learnt from the company, the line will be opened in April 2014.
The new service will actually revive the Crimea-Caucasus line and have the following rotation: Batumi – Sochi – Yalta – Odessa – Yalta – Sochi – Batumi. The line will be operated by Paradise Cruise & Ferry with M/V Isabella 1. V.SHIP will be in charge of the technical management with Intercontinental Marine LLC as an agency company.
M/V Isabella 1 can carry up to 1,000 passengers and up to 350 automobiles.
The ferry is equipped with 336 cabins of different classes and price categories, restaurants, bars, casinos and Duty Free stores. Passengers can have a 6-day long voyage or visit a selected number of ports.
As Intercontinental Marine LLC told IAA PortNews, the service will operate round the year with only a 2-3 week break a year. The cruise-ferry concept will make the line profitable throughout the year, the company believes.
