In the 9-month period, Russian Railways loaded 924.3 mln tones of cargo (-3%, y-o-y), the company says in its press release. In September, the loading declined by 1.5% to 104.7 mln tonnes.
In September, cargo turnover declined by 1.5% to 179.2 bln tonne-km. Cargo turnover with consideration of empty wagon run climbed by 1.9% to 230.3 bln tonne-km.
In January-September, 2013 the loading hit 924.3 mln tonnes (-3%, y-o-y) including 227.7 mln tonnes of coal (+0.8%); 8.6 mln tonnesof coke (-11.4%); 186.3 mln tonnes of oil and oil products (-2.8%); 82.7 mln tonnes of iron and manganese ore (+1.3%); 52.6 mln tonnes of ferrous metal (-5.4%); 12.3 mln tonnes of ferrous metal scrap (-9.7%); 34.7 mln tonnes of chemical and mineral fertilizers (+2.1%); 27.4 mln tonnes of cement (-0.6%); 27 mln tonnes of timber cargo (-3.3%); 8.5 mln tonnes of grain (-35.6%); 132.8 mln tonnes of construction cargo (-4.7%); 15.7 mln tonnes of non-ferrous ore and raw sulphur (-7.9%); 19.6 mln tonnes of chemicals and soda(-6.6%); 25.3 mln tonnes of industial raw materials and molding materials(-5.2%).
In January-September, cargo turnover declined by 2.6%, to 1,614.9 bln tonne-km. Cargo turnover with consideration of empty wagon run hit 2,068.5 bln tonne-km (-0.5%).
