Ministry of Regional Development works on legislative amendments to eliminate state expertise monopoly
Ministry of Regional Development is preparing amendments into the legislation concerning project expertise, Sergey Vakhrukov, Deputy Minister of Regional Development told IAA PortNews journalis at the sixth International Forum Transport and Transit Potential being held in Saint Petersburg. According to him, the Ministry does not rule amendments providing for introduction of a non-state expertise applicable instead of the obligatory state expertise approval. Such expert evaluation would be possible only within the framework of a self-regulating organization provided that there is a sufficient insurance coverage of project risks. The work on draft amendments is coming to the end, Vakhrukov said.
