Jumbo presents official K3000 vessel launch footage
The Jumbo Kinetic, the first in a series of two revolutionary new K3000 class vessels, was officially launched on the 17th September from the Brodosplit Shipyard in Croatia, the Jumbo's press release said. On September 2 the vessel's owner presented the official footage from the solemn ceremony.
The new vessel, which represents the latest evolutionary step in the Jumbo fleet is both larger and stronger than its predecessors. Work will now continue on the Jumbo Kinetic in Croatia, following which the vessel will sail to Huisman’s yard in China where she will be outfitted with dual 1,500t mast cranes, enabling lifting of up to 3,000t at an outreach of 20m. The vessels are certified Ice Class 1A Swedish/Finnish for extra versatility.
