Sakhalin deposits cover about 10% of Japan’s needs in LNG, Vladimir Putin says
The Sakhalin deposits already cover about 10 percent of Japan’s needs in liquefied natural gas (LNG), RussiaN President Vladimir Putin said following the APEC summit. According to him, energy supplies to Russia’s APEC partners will increase after Gazprom builds a new LNG facility in Vladivostok, with a capacity of 10 million tonnes. “We have invited companies from APEC countries to engage in these and other large-scale projects in Siberia and the Far East”, the President said.
