Throughput of Ukraine’s seaports down 4.9% to 105.16 mln t Jan-Sep’13

In January-September 2013, the ports of Ukraine handled 105.16 mln t of cargo (-4.9%, year-on-year), says State Statistics Committee of Ukraine. Transshipment of exported cargo declined by 3% to 68.78 mln t, transit dropped by 21% to 20.8 mln t. However, transshipment of imported cargo climbed by 10.2% to 13.37 mln t, coastal trade cargo – surged by 60% to 2.05 mln t.

In September, the ports of Ukraine handled 12,925,000 tonnes of cargo.
