In January-September, 2013, Neva-Metal CJSC (stevedoring company of Severstal) handled over 2.1 mln t of cargo (+5%, year-on-year), the company says.
In the accounting period, the company boosted container throughput by 39%, year-on-year, over 48,000 TEUs (some 34,000 containers). Containerized cargo accounted for 28% of total throughput in January-September’13.
Transshipment of loose bulk cargo exceeded 144,000 t (7% of total throughput), up 1.5 times year-on-year.
Transshipment of general cargo – packaged cargo reached some 100,000 tonnes (5% of total throughput).
In January-September 2013, Neva-Metal handled some 1.3 mln t of ferrous metal produced by Cherepovets Steel Mill (60% of total throughput).
