In January-September 2013, Container Terminal Saint-Petersburg CJSC handled 297,518 TEUs (+31%, year-on-year), the company announced.
Transshipment of import cargo surged by 35% to 155,418 TEUs, export – by 27% to 142,100 TEUs. The company attributes the increase to growing cargo flow from the terminal’s major customers. In the 9-month period, the terminal handled 232 containers with average shipboard lot of 1,282 TEU.
Container Terminal Saint-Petersburg (part of UCL Port, stevedoring division of international transport group UCL Holding) is a container handling complex located in the forth cargo district of Big Port St. Petersburg. The terminal is focused on handling all types of export / import cargo including refrigerated cargo. In 2012, the Company’s throughput reached 326,199 TEUs.
