Marie Maersk, third container carrier of Triple-E class has been handled by Vostochnaya Stevedoring Company LLC. According to the company’s press center, first containers in the vessel’s shipping history were loaded at the terminal.
Earlier, Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller and Mary Maersk called at the terminal. So Vostochnaya Stevedoring Company has already handled three of four largest container carriers.
Marie Maersk was built by Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME Daewoo). 18,340-TEU vessel with length of 399 m, width of 59m and height of 73 m arrived at the berths of VSC on October 28. Upon completion of cargo operations the container carrier will sett off for port Busan (S. Korea).
Vostochnaya Stevedoring Company LLC is the largest container terminal in the Far East Region of the Russian Federation. It operates on the territory of Vostochny Port. VSC is a part of Global Ports group. The terminal’s total capacity is 550,000 TEUs.
