Sevastopol Shipyard (Crimea) launches double-hulled tanker Tiksi of project RST06

On May 27, 2014, Sevastopol Shipyard (Crimea) launched double-hulled tanker Tiksi of project RST06, says press center of Marine Engineering Bureau, which designed the series. 2,786 DWT tanker of mixed (sea and river) navigation is intended for supplying of the northern settlements along the Arctic coast of Yakutia.
 
Modernization of tanker Tiksi (earlier known as Palflot-1, Lenaneft type of project Р77) is carried out by Maritime Agency Trans-Service.
 
The purpose of conversion under project RST06 is to install double bottom structures in the cargo zone to meet the requirements of Regulation 21 of MARPOL 73/78 and to replace the buoyancy compartment with two cargo tanks which can be also used as slop tanks.
 
Dimensions of the vessel – 108.5 x 14.80 x 4.40. Classification of Russian Maritime Register of Shipping - КМ L4 R3-RSN Oil tanker (>60°C) (ESP).
 
Deadweight after modernization – 2,786 t (draught 2.88 m). Cargo tanks capacity (including slop tanks) – 2,855 cbm. Capacity of the main propulsion engine - 2 x 515 KW. Speed – 10.5 knots. Endurance – 15 days. Crew - 11 persons. Places - 16.
