The fleet of Far Eastern Shipping Company has been expanded with the FESCO Navarin. According to the Group’s press center, the delivery took place at port of Rotterdam (Netherlands) on June 11, 2014.
The container carrier will fly the flag of the Russian Federation and will be registered in Vladivostok.
The vessel’s full capacity is 707 TEUs with a possibility to carry up to 150 refrigerated containers. Ice class meets the standards necessary for operation in the Far East region, the statement says.
“FESCO Navarin” will be deployed for short sea lines of FESCO Group (in addition to “FESCO Novik”, a vessels of the same type acquired in March 2014) from August-September 2014.
The vessel was built in 2004 in Germany, her length is 133.58 m, breadth — 19.4 m, deadweight — 8,508 t. Maximum speed — 17.3 knots.
OJSC Far Eastern Shipping Company is the basic company of FESCO Transportation Group. It specializes in transportation of dry bulk and general cargo. The company’s fleet transports cargo all over the seven seas.
FESCO Group owns Commercial Port of Vladivostok OJSC with annual throughput capacity of 3.9 mln t of general cargo and oil products, 150,000 automobiles and vehicles, over 600,000 TEUs of containerized cargo. FESCO is one of Russia’s 10 largest private railway operators. It is known under the brands of Transgarant (100% subsidiary of FESCO) and Russkaya Troyka (50% joint venture with Russian Railways OJSC). The Group owns the fleet of different vessels deployed primarily by FESCO’s logistics division.
