In January-May 2014, Izmail Commercial Seaport (Ukraine) handled 1.29 mln t of cargo (+24.8%, year-on-year), Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority says.
Transshipment of liquid bulk cargo totaled 25,000 t including 21,000 t of oil.
Transshipment of dry cargo increased by 23%, year-on-year, to 1,154,000 t including 676,000 t of coal (+34%), 50,000 t of coke (+8.2%), 337,000 t of ore (+1.5%), 20,000 t of construction materials (+61.4%), 37,000 of fertilizers (up 30 times).
Transshipment of packaged cargoes increased to 121,000 (+16.1%) including 62,000 t of rolled metal products (-14.8%), 18,000 t of scrap metal (up 6.3 times), 22,000 t of fertilizers (up 3.4 times).
Izmail Commercial Seaport is a state stevedoring company. The company owns three terminals, a fleet of barges, dry bulk carriers, towboats, a floating landing stages, pontoons, workboats and floating cranes.
