Rosneft, RF Ministry of Industry and Trade, Gazprom, NOVATEK, Gazprombank, Sovcomflot and USC sign agreement on setting up a joint venture

On June 16, Rosneft, RF Ministry of Industry and Trade, Gazprom, NOVATEK, Gazprombank, Sovcomflot and United Shipbuilding Corporation signed an agreement on establishment of a joint venture for implementation of projects on construction and designing of vessels, drilling rigs and marine facilities. According to the press center of Rosneft, the document was signed within the framework of the 21st World Petroleum Congress.

In compliance with the proposal of RF President Vladimir Putin the parties agreed to attract the Far Eastern Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Center (FESRC) as a single center for placing orders when selecting contractors and signing all contracts on designing and manufacturing of marine facilities with Russian and foreign contractors. The parties will form a working group which is to be coordinated by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

“The companies have agreed to enter FESRC and I hope they will agree the terms in the nearest future. The Government fully supports this work,” Deputy PM of the Russian Federation Arkady Dvorkovich said during the ceremony of signing.
