Throughput of Vladivostok Sea Fishing Port up 9.1% to 1.36 mln t in Jan-May’14

In January-May 2014, Vladivostok Sea Fishing Port OJSC handled 1.36 mln t of cargo (+9.1%, year-on-year), says press center of the stevedoring company.

The growth was driven by increased transshipment of dry bulk cargo (+10.1%), scrap metal (+17.9%), ferrous metal (+100%).

However, transshipment of fish products plunged by 39.9%.

From the beginning of 2014, the port handled 17,101 wagons and 337 vessels.

Vladivostok Sea Fishing Port is the universal reloading complex on the southern coast of the  nonfreezing Zolotoi Rog Bay. The berthing line of 10 berths which is 2,020 m long, 9 km of railway lines and 3 locomotives enable the company to handle 71 wagons per day. In 2013, the Port handled over 3.35 mln t of cargo.
