Andrey Tarasenko, Director General of FSUE Rosmorport, and Liu Nan, President of Shanghai Bestway Marine Engeneering Design Co., LTD signed a Memorandum of Intentions on June 18, 2014, says press center of RF Transport Ministry.
The document confirms the interest of the parties in partnership in organization, development and use of infrastructure in seaports and at approaches to them.
“The parties express their willingness to develop cooperation in different forms including mutual consultations on modernization and technical upgrading of transshipment complexes, seaports and other port infrastructure facilities,” the statement says.
The parties are also to cooperate in shipbuilding, designing of port and coastal equipment, experience exchange in the sphere of accident rescue operations, technical and design exchange in lifting of sunken property, expansion of cooperation in information & analytical developments aimed at goods/works/services market research.
Basing on the mutual experience the parties will consider a possibility to arrange education and professional retraining of personnel in order to expand the capacity in the development of marine transport infrastructure.
The Memorandum is in force from the date of signing.
