FESCO acquires container terminal in Novosibirsk

FESCO Transportation Group has acquired a container terminal in Novosibirsk, near Novosibirsk-Vostochny station, the Group’s press center says.

Container terminal is a part of 15-hectare transport complex comprising three railway lines capable of handling container trains of up to 71 wagons and a rail transport enterprise at Yuzhnaya station operating track facilities and 7 diesel-locomotive shunters.  

The terminal capacity is 1,300 TEUs, annual throughput capacity is 90,000 TEUs. 
 
The asset has been acquired by Transgarant Group (part of FESCO Group) which had been using the terminal for its services. 

FESCO is among the 10 largest Russian private rail operators, providing services under "Transgarant" (100% subsidiary of FESCO) and "Russian Troika" (50% joint venture with JSC Russian Railways) brands. "Transgarant" operates a fleet of 16.1 thousand units of rolling stock, while "Russian Troika" operates a fleet of 1.7 thousand container platforms. FESCO has a fleet of 24 vessels, mostly deployed through own sea service lines, and 4 icebreakers leased under long-term contracts.
