St. Petersburg, Russia based Admiral Makarov State University of Sea and River Fleet (GUMRF) has proposed to organize targeted training programs for potential employees of Russian bunkering companies, Adviser to the University Rector Ivan Kostylev said Friday at the the 7th All-Russian Forum “Current State and Prospects for Development of Russian Bunker Services Market”.
Ivan Kostylev, Advisor to the Rector, head of the Department of thermal engineering, marine boilers and auxiliary units, invited representatives of businesses to contact deans of faculties at the University.
Ivan Kostylev also offered the business community to participate in writing new textbooks for the University students.
Admiral Makarov State University of Sea and River Fleet (GUMRF) was created through the merger of two educational institutions - St.Petersburg State University of Waterway Communications (Leningrad institute of engineers of Waterway Transport) and State Maritime Academy of Adm. S. O. Makarov.
