Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS) Greece was honoured by the Chairman and CEO of the Port of Piraeus, Mr Yiorgos Anomeritis on Monday 23rd June 2014, for the company’s contribution to the development of the port and for its dedicated service to the Greek cruise industry, the company said in its press release.
During a ceremony to mark the inaugural call into the Port of Piraeus on board the Regal Princess, the newest vessel of the Princess Cruise fleet, and under the agency of ISS, Mr. Christos Makrialeas, Managing Director of ISS Greece, was delighted to receive a commemorative plaque from Mr. Anomeritis, in a surprise presentation additional to the expected proceedings.
Mr. Makrialeas thanked Mr. Anomeritis for his gesture and commented: “It is a key duty of ISS as an agent and port user to be the “active link” between the Principal and the port, in order to achieve the highest operational excellence this sector demands, and to ensure that services are provided at the best market rates possible for the benefit of the port, the Principal and ultimately the passengers. ISS is honoured to be commended in such an unprecedented way by the port and looks forward to continuing this cooperative working relationship and seeing the port develop positively in the future.”
